bafflegab bafflegab
I keep running into the interesting word "bafflegag" these days, including, most notably, in the endless discussions on the Plame "outing" investigation at Just One Minute blog. It is defined by the few dictionaries that carry it as "gobblygook". But from its context and its origins of baffle+gag, where gag is defined as chatter, etc., it seems to mean more that bafflegag is chatter that is used to intentionally distract or mislead. The "intent to mislead" part seems to be a bit weaker in gobblygook.
