Horace Jeffery Hodges has an interesting analysis of the Pope's recent message on Islam that sparked so much outrage: Tariq Ramadan on the Pope's Message. Hodges also seems to be the scholar who pointed out that the reason that the Vatican had to modify the English version of the speech after the fact is that it had been inaccurately translated from the original German, and not to appease Moslems.
