What You Don't Know About the Immigration Bill What You Don't Know About the Immigration Bill

Robert J. Samuelson points out some inconvenient facts in a WaPo article entitled: "What You Don't Know About the Immigration Bill". In particular, his best estimate is that under the Senate bill, legal immigration would double over the next two decades from 20 million to about 40 million.

The problem is that this big increase in immigration isn't supported by the American People, who, when surveyed: 40 percent favored a decrease; 37 percent would hold it steady; and 17 percent wanted an increase.
