Al Qaeda is mostly history, with the bombings now being primarily the work of Iraqi Sunni Arabs who think that they can get the Sunni Arabs to intervene when the Shiites kill too many of them in return. Not going to happen. And the Shiite militias are in disarray, esp. with Sadr fleeing to Iran.
