Conyers is going to head the Judiciary Committee in the House starting in January. He had introduced the bill under the Republican Congress, and it went nowhere. Now it has a chance. One problem is that it would push the security workers at airports to make sure that they didn't check too many Arabs and Moslems. That has to be good for airline security.
